Leap Year is founded by Brooklyn-based production company, Voyager. Co-Founders Andrew Hutcheson & Charles Frank launched Voyager in 2015, quickly establishing themselves as a trusted partner amongst agencies and brands and a successful launchpad for emerging directors. Voyager regularly spearheads their productions through post in-house, executing countless projects through final delivery. Leap Year’s creation formalizes this offering as its own entity, with Kira MacKnight, formerly of lauded audio post-production studio One Thousand Birds, on board as Managing Director / EP. It is our dream to share our incredibly gifted network of post-production talent with like-minded collaborators, including other production companies, agencies and brands.

Leap Year’s main office is the second floor of a beautiful carriage house on the Fort Greene / Clinton Hill border where we offer real-time remote and in-person sessions in our light-filled edit suite.

A leap year is a uniquely human construct; we made an extra day in the calendar in order to keep the seasons in sync. We believe in the importance of making time - for listening, creating, experimenting - to keep collaborations flowing as effortlessly as our seasons. Leap Year launched on February 29th, 2024 with its namesake in mind.
